Traditions Change

Family Traditions Change: The Ties That Bind Us In A Knot. My traditions have changed over the time. And I’m good with that! Traditions change. Traditions change. And they should.  Because we change.  Life doesn’t stay the same.  It takes us through many different roads.  People are added.  Taken away.  And that changes the flavor of our families. Traditions change. And if you stick so closely to your traditions, you’ll alienate many newcomers.  Take, for instance, my children.  If we were unbending in our holiday routines, they would always view Christmas as a rushed, tiring, hectic, gifts-focused time....

How to spot a Fake Fashionista

Learn how to spot a Fake Fashionista in those loubies As hard as it may be to recognize how to spot a Fake Fashionista, Learn to look for the tell-tale signs. I mean, I knew they existed but never saw anyone rocking them shiny, red-lacquered soles before now. (mouth wide open)  you know, “That Girl” just a basic girl, pool side at the W.  She’s the one with a fake Louie, fake Loubie’s, fake booty and at the club all weekend, trying to get rich. There isn’t always sincerity that sits behind every smiling face with their glossy, matte and satin red lip looks. It is a very misunderstood product. Women assume you need  confidence to wear red lipstick, when actually red lipstick gives you confidence, but you need to get past the mental block. A Fake Fashionista is “that girl” (or guy) that we all know who thinks they know...

How to Start Living an Awesome Life

How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life  You Are Awesome! My lifestyle blog for women will inspire you to follow your passion so you can learn how to start living an awesome life and stop doubting your greatness:) We analyse everything from every angle, and we don’t take nearly enough risks. Too much thinking, not enough fun. It is the selfie generation! We’re smart people… but we don’t trust ourselves and our instincts nearly enough. I do it all the time, and I see it around me everywhere. I second-guess myself constantly, I obsess over little details that no...

Chicago?

Looking for travel tips on what to do in Chicago?   I truly believe (and it has been confirmed by others) that Chicago is one of the best cities in the United States to visit. The restaurants, bars, travel, and attractions. Boom! Hands down victory. Chicago is freaking ahmazzzzzzziing, I just had to share it with you in my lifestyle blog for women. Sure, there’s never a dull moment in Chicago — but even more so if you’re clued into the best places to hit. And, who says just because temps are dropping, the fun has to stop? With that in mind, I rounded up some amazing things to do before retreating into full-blown winter hibernation mode. (you know…..just before you Start the movie, read, watch TV or just daydream) This time of year practically begs for a cozy infinity scarf and great pair of sunnies...

TGIF and almost HAPPY HOUR!

Woooohooo! TGIF and almost happy hour!  Ok, I’m a sucker for sentimental moments so, I decided I would write a blog about TGIF and almost happy hour, but now that it’s Friday I keep procrastinating and doing pretty much everything BUT write a lifestyle blog for women.  Pretty soon it will be happy hour for all you 9-5′ers and I’ll still be stuck here at the computer because if I’m publishing a blog about TGIF and almost HAPPY HOUR! It really does need to be published on Friday, right? (Side eye) Respectfully I’ve gotta disagree. I know that a lot of you reading this are doing that 9-5 thing and some of you love your jobs, and some of you hate them, and everything in between. No judgement! It occurs to me that the end of a work-week with that sense of needing to celebrate can simply be that… extolling...
